Introduction to Colorwork Design – Jennifer Steingass


In this workshop you will try your hand at designing your own colorwork motifs that can be used in your own future knitwear designs. Bring inspiration if you wish and Jenn will also bring a few inspirational pieces to help get you started.

Bring a lot of yarn in various colors from your stash to play with - just make sure they're all of the same relative thickness and try to bring both dark and light colors.

Jenn will supply colored pencils for sketching and charting. We will go over tips and tricks for smooth, even colorwork and talk a bit about color theory and color dominance as well.

Price: Kr. 750,-
Bring: Double pointed needles or long circular needles at least 80cm long, for small circumference knitting. Knitter should choose small circumference method that they are most practiced at. Bring needles that are suitable for the yarn thickness you are bringing. Jenn will bring knitting graph paper and a few pages of instructional handouts.
